And More About Bamboo...

So- We have been all about the bamboo lately... Here's why!
" Bamboo is versatile. It is used by over half the
world's population for applications such as: food,
shelter, fuel, clothing, and of course handicrafts.
Bamboo is Sustainable. It plays a vital role in the
reduction of timber consumption, environmental
and forest protection as well as being a
sustainable development of rural economies.
Bamboo is Renewable. It is one of the earth's fastest
growing plants (some species growing up to 3 feet per day).
It needs no replanting and has an incredible growth
cycle of 3-5 years. Finally, bamboo is not wood, rather
a species of grass."
This delightful tidbit brought to you by the great folk's over at Circa Asia.
