Banana Rama!

I'm back! Just got back from my sunny vacation in Jamaica, and the first new item that I saw instantly reminded me of the bright and colorful island life, as well as the Bananarama song!

fe fi bo rama
banana fana rama!

Remember that old song when you were a kid? It makes me think of these new petite vases, doesn't it? Each one captures the light in such a great way, sending a colorful shadow on any surface. These petite vases come in two different sizes short and tall, as well as in the color red, yellow, and green. And the best thing is the price! The short ones are $9 marked down from $20, and the tall ones are $6 marked down from $18.

Let's go bananas for these new vases!

Jackpot!

I know that I always have a hard time finding affordable lamps that are stylish enough to make the cut for my apartment... I was so excited when I started working here at Trove and discovered their lamp selection. Of course the selection is always changing, but I snapped up these shots to show you the variety we have- from modern and unique to classic and timeless. And all the lamps in this shot are under $110!

C'mon fog!

Trove is in Berkeley, not too far from the water, so while we get warmer, sunnier summers than San Francisco, we still see some fog in the summer. Normally, the gray skies make me blue, but picturing myself sipping a cappucino out of one of our chic French cafe bowls makes it all better! (Small size is $7, larger is $8.)

Surrounded with Style

I am so enamored with this pillow, it's a little absurd. It's very luxurious, but very bohemian at the same time. The colors are so intense and the embroidery is to die for. If only I could wear this pillow somehow, I'd be content. At least I can look at it every day on my couch. (Yep, I bought one for myself!)

Only $35 for the case and $10 for the down insert. Insane.

The yummiest...

This is this yummiest, most inviting quilt I've ever seen for a bed. Navy pleated cotton from (the master) John Robshaw, and unbelievably soft quilting. (You can almost tell from the photo, can't you?) This is queen size-and a steal at $245!

How do you pronounce it?

"Vaaaaas" or "Vaise"? It's a vase either way, and these make me giddy with delight. They're just yummy- almost candylike- and each one is completely unique. And the way I see it, they can feel kind of earthy and kind of modern...

(P.S. And only $28. Seriously!)

Lacquer love!

I can't open a Domino magazine without finding some lacquer piece that I just can't live without. We recently got these lacquer bowls in (perfect fruit bowls, no?) and I can't decide which color to buy. Which is your favorite?

Maybe I'll buy a few- at only $29 for the oval and $32 for the round, why not?

Who will be the lucky one?

That takes this bed home with them? I am obsessed with caned furniture right now, and this head and footboard is so uniquely chic...love the way the caning curves...

Glass towers

I have to admit, I picture this lamp in an uber-chic office towering over Manhattan. The office would be really clean, minimal, and super stylish. (And can you believe it's only $110?)

John Robshaw Pillows

I just adore John Robshaw and these pillows are so yummy... They're the softest silk and I am in love with the colors. Perfect thrown on a bed to give it a bohemian touch! (And so affordable, you don't feel bad about buying multiples. These in the photo are $36 each- $26 for the cases and $10 for each down insert.)

Green with envy

I have to admit, I never realized that it was even possible to get a piece of jade this large- this entire bowl is carved from a piece of JADE! I'm not sure this photo does it justice, but it is the most beautiful thing I've seen in a while. (And to give you an idea of size, the bowl is about 10 inches across- perfect for fruit.)

Normally it sells for about 3 times our price- we have them for $89. Complete craziness. (Did I say that it's one huge piece of jade??) We have a handful in stock, but they're being snatched up quickly.

Mod stool

I can imagine this glossy red stool going home to someone with a chic mirrored vanity. (Wouldn't the juxtaposition be divine?) Only $155.

Quelle statement!

You can't miss this piece when you walk into the store- it's front and center. I have to admit, I'll miss it when it's gone... It's perfect for really a myriad of things. And the carved piece along the top is reclaimed. Love that.

Now you see it, now you don't...

I was just about to write up a little post about this gorgeous new mirror we got in last week (very Dorothy Draper, don't you think?), but Diane just told me that it was sold! Rats! I'm still going to write this post, though, because I want you to see the kind of stuff we get in here on a regular basis. (We get deliveries almost every day- it's like Christmas over and over!)

So, yes, this mirror just sold (and it was SO inexpensive, it's crazy), but keep checkin' in, because we get amazing mirrors all the time. And next time it can be yours.
